Thank you for this perspective. Thank you for the reminder to not shy away from standing up for what is right, for what one believes in…no matter the cost. Justice will prevail…and I want to be on the that side.
Choosing where to stand is the hard part, especially if the crowd is standing somewhere else. It is hard in church when there is such diversity of opinion.
Very true. But it has become so very clear to me that not taking a stand against obvious evil is why we are in this current state in our country. Silence helps no one. We must dig deep to ramp up our courage—as individuals, as followers of Christ, as a Church.
Todd, I am struck by the 42 who trekked through rough terrains to be community to be spiritually, emotionally and physically nourished. The simple acts of community warmth, charging their phones, sharing coffee and stories of how they were holding up speaks volume. In many cities, towns ands countries, what the 42 of you lived yesterday is not possible. And yet, they huddle under a makeshift tent, under the safety of a tree or under a bridge and be community.
Thanks Sandra. Some days the good folks get stuck on details that drive me crazy, but most of the time, they are kind and generous with each other, and I'll take that any day!

Indeed!
Oh my goodness, what a start for Holy Week for you and your people. I hope power gets restored quickly and love the hospitality you provided.
Finally back around noon on Tuesday! I can now appreciate hot coffee in the morning, without waiting for the wood stove to heat for two hours.

Well…details can be important right?
And not needed to be overpowering!!
